Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy Procedure with Subsequent Bile Duct Injury - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing
Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy (Gallbladder Removal) Procedure with Subsequent Bile Duct Injury. Shows correct post-operative condition where cystic duct has been clipped and gall bladder removed. Next, shows a Roux-en-y surgery using the small intestine (bowel) to correct an initial iatrogenic (physician-related) injury. The hepatic ducts, lengthened by a biliary stent, drain directly into the small intestine. Depicts post-operative removal of gall bladder, cystic duct and distal common hepatic duct.
